What is The Life Recovery Center?
It is a Christ-centered, transitional living program which integrates a structured, safe, and clean living environment with substance abuse recovery; health management; employment coaching; financial planning; individual, family, and marriage counseling; social and life skills training.
The Center will offer a ‘Journey to Freedom’ to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to recovery, have been prudently screened, and are approved for entry into the program. The Center will further require our participants to be actively engaged in their personal recovery program and consistently meeting their weekly commitments. We will accommodate up to eighteen (18) resident clients plus two (2) resident staff. In addition, there will be non-residential staff and counselors helping to facilitate this program.
Graduates of the Life Recovery Center can expect to:

Establish/deepen a vital, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
(Although a particular religious commitment is not a requirement, our intent is to demonstrate the
beauty and power of the Gospel in order to cause an inward discovery of purposeful life.)

Reconnecting to the Community
Our community has generously supported our efforts to reach out to the impoverished and to provide the critical services they so desperately need. The Life Recovery Center will give us the ability to engage them on a whole new level. A home atmosphere establishes a sense of stability and predictability that is painfully absent in their lives. No longer in a crisis mode of "fight or flight," the individual can begin the process of healing. Interacting as a family unit will also teach the interpersonal skills needed to successfully reintegrate into society. What sets our program apart is the application of faith to every step of the process. Faith in God’s love for the lost and in His power to heal the walking wounded. |
